Vehmaanpirtti

" Vehmaanpirtti was built in 1890's as a worker's house. It's built by Anttila's great grandma's grandfather.

There have lived several worker families and in 1940's there have lived railroad workers. The last regular residents, Vilho and Jenny Vehmas lived there for 21 years. They left in 1974. Since then the cottage have been used as a summer holiday apartment.

Anttila's oldest building, still in use, is the granary at the shore. The merchants used it as their salt storage. It might have been built in the middle of the 19th century.

The sauna was built in the late 1960's and the newest building at the shore is the barbecue shelter built in 2002. "
